Darryl Ryan Darryl Ryan is the Director of Media Relations for Time Warner Cable - West Region. Darryl is responsible for the West region's media relations initiatives, which includes managing all efforts from publicity to crisis, and serving as the regional spokesperson. Darryl's experience covers various professional communication fields, and he is a seasoned communication leader. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable Inc., Darryl served as the Press Secretary for the Mayor of Los Angeles, where he managed the development and implementation of media and communication strategies for the Mayor and the City of Los Angeles. In addition, Darryl is an Adjunct Professor in the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California (USC), where he teaches students how to plan, execute and evaluate public relations campaigns. In addition, he instructs students how to research, design, produce, write and manage public relations media and materials. A native of Southern California, Darryl earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Policy from UCLA, and a Master of Science degree in Public Relations and Communication from Boston University.
